Mr.
Huston was an executive of Lukens Steel Company located in Coatesville,
Chester County, Pennsylvania, and was active in many local community
organizations; he served in a leadership position in the Coatesville
Community Industrial Development Corp., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce,
and YMCA. In addition, he was involved in several small successful business
ventures, authored several books of prose and historical accounts, and
served as an informal liaison between the Coatesville business community
and the Pennsylvania legislature. Mr. Huston was also active as a church
leader, initially in the Coatesville Presbyterian Church and later during
his final years in the Coatesville Episcopal Church.
In
addition, Mr. Huston had a love for the city of Savannah, Georgia, the
birthplace of his mother, Annie Stewart, and home of his wife, Harriet
Lawrence Huston, who was an artist and a poet. His uncle, Murray M.
Stewart, was Mayor of Savannah from 1919-1923. Mr. Huston, along with
his wife Harriet, is buried in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
Mr.
Hustons charitable interests are reflected in the Trusts
mission and the distribution guidelines created in his Will.
